The suede top is anti slip, keeping the saddle in place. The memory foam is 1" thick, high quality memory foam, providing cushioning and comfort, relieving pressure points on the horse's back. The bottom has an extra 0. 5" of conventional high impact foam which helps absorb the shock and is quilted to distribute pressure and prevent the pad from bunching
