These are three separate parts that are combined into a set. The black plastic piece is the hood release handle, which is found on the inside of the Mercedes star on the front grille. The spring is attached to the hood release handle. Once the handle is in place, the pin is inserted to hold it together. These parts are used to open up the front hood
