Its long sword like foliage fans upwards and sturdy stalks that hold the flower heads grow from the center of the plant. Large lightly ruffled white flowers with white beards and blue violet veins bloom first in late spring and again in late summer. Prefers partial sun and rich, moist to wet well drained soils. Type:
